Training and Jobs Services for Newcomers
Partnership with MOSAIC, BC
The CLAC Foundation has partnered with MOSAIC in BC to provide training to marginalized people who are not eligible for traditional government training supports. The beneficiaries of the project are newcomers, specifically refugee claimants and temporary foreign workers who are more likely to attain entry-level employment with the support of this training.
Individuals have access to a variety of health and safety courses, including First Aid and WHMIS. They also gain access to CLAC’s jobs services to help them secure paid employment. This is beneficial not only for the individuals, but for employers who are seeking to meet staffing shortages in the construction sector.
